Seventy percent of New Jersey’s school districts and charter schools have volunteered to give the test associated with the new statewide curriculum standards a trial run, the Department of Education said Tuesday.

The test, known as PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) represents a consortium of 19 states collaborating on a set of exams in English and math. The tests will be given statewide in the spring of 2015.
