My union story: I have proudly been a member of AFT Local 857 since 1999. Over the past 15 years, I have served as a building representative and as a member of the executive council, advocating for colleagues and supporting initiatives that strengthen our union and school community.
Career highlights/achievements: I bring 27 years of experience in the field of education, having taught multiple grade levels and subject areas within the Perth Amboy Public School system. My work has included curriculum writing, leadership on school and district committees, and coordinating academic and enrichment programs that support student growth. I am committed to fostering a positive school culture, promoting social-emotional learning and creating opportunities that empower students to succeed academically and beyond. I graduated on May 16, 2026, from National University and attained my EdD in General Education.
Throughout my career, I have taken on leadership roles such as coordinating summer and afterschool programs, advising student organizations, and contributing to districtwide initiatives. I strive to build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues while supporting innovative practices that enhance teaching and learning.
Interests/hobbies: I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, serving my community, and volunteering at my parish church.
