My union story: I have been a union member my entire professional career, first as a high school teacher in N.J. public schools, then as a member of faculty federations at Long Island University-Brooklyn and presently at Montclair. I became an officer of Local 1904 in 2024 and a higher ed VP for AFTNJ in 2026. My commitment is to advocate for and serve my colleagues in our local and help ensure that working people and the labor movement have a strong presence and voice in state and national affairs.
Interests: My profession focuses on preparing teachers to be champions for educational excellence and inclusive opportunity for youth with disabilities. Gardening, travel and witnessing the wonder of the natural world bring me joy, and my heart belongs to my husband and our two teenagers.
