New Jersey State AFL-CIO Sponsoring Forum to Discuss Worker Safety in the Aftermath of Superstorm Sandy
The New Jersey State AFL-CIO invites our affiliates to attend a forum to discuss topics concerning worker safety in the aftermath and recovery from Superstorm Sandy. The forum will feature speakers from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), and various state agencies.

The goals of the forum are to:
Raise awareness about worker safety hazards for residents, business owners, volunteers and professionals engaged in cleanup work after the storm.
Provide an opportunity for OSHA, EPA, NIEHS, NIOSH and state agencies to discuss their response efforts.
Share information about available government and other resources.
Spread important information about worker safety following disasters to people in the affected areas.
Your questions and input are essential to conducting an informative and educational forum.
