The board passed a resolution Friday to offer NJCU a five-year contract that would extend the university’s relationship with the school for multiply disabled students through June 2025.

The proposed agreement, however, would allow NJCU to exit the contract after four years. To do so, the university would have to announce its intention to leave the deal following the first three years of the contract. NJCU would then have either one or two years to create a transition plan for the program with the Board of Education.
