Students and Community join call to school’s Board of Trustees

CRANFORD… Adjunct faculty who teach at Union County College have been working without a contract and raises for more than a year while management is proposing to lower the ceiling on credit hours taking away needed potential income. These highly qualified professors earn considerably less than their tenure-track peers and have no job security, according to Co-President of the UCC chapter William Lipkin.

Morale is at an all time low among adjunct faculty, according to Lipkin. “While our members suffer economically, management seems to arbitrarily want to reduce the number of classes we can teach.”
