BRANCHBURG — Tuition is going up again at Rartian Valley Community College.

The community college’s Board of Trustees this week approved a $49 million budget, which officials said wouldn’t eliminate any faculty positions despite a budget gap caused in part by reduced funding from Hunterdon and Somerset counties.

Students this fall, however, would pay an additional $15 per credit — or another $450 more for the year. At $117 a credit, RVCC’s rate for in-county students remains near the top among the state’s 18 community colleges.
