It’s a report card New Jersey schools can be proud to display: Education Week’s Quality Counts 2020 rankings have the Garden State on top, with its 87.3 score (good for a B+ grading) edging out Massachusetts.

It’s the second consecutive year that New Jersey has finished with the best overall ranking. According to Education Week, the report provides overall scores and grades based on 39 indicators in three categories developed by the EdWeek Research Center: chance for success, school finance and K-12 achievement.
