New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said Dec. 2 that the state’s digital divide stands at 33,851 students, a 2 percent drop from last week and down from an estimated 231,000 over the summer.

Supply chain or delivery delays are the reasons for students not having what they need, added Murphy.

“The department continues its work directly with districts to ensure the best use of resources, the accurate reporting of data and effective communication between and among districts and students and families at the local level,” he said.
