Though their merger isn’t officially a done deal yet, the leaders of Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey are beginning to work out the details of the complex transfer of schools, students and assets.
Officials from both schools met earlier this week and will gather again Thursday with consultants to plan for the merger, said Denise Rodgers, UMDNJ’s interim president. The takeover is set to take place July 1, 2013.
