The AFT, along with AFSCME and SEIU, will present a Zoom town hall Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. ET to answer questions about forthcoming COVID-19 vaccines.
“This event is designed to provide you with information from credible sources,” said AFT President Randi Weingarten. “We believe all of the participating panelists are qualified and free from political influence.”
She added, “This is not an endorsement of a vaccine that has not yet been approved, much less validated by a consensus opinion from the qualified scientific community. But, given the possibility that vaccines will be available as early as mid-December, we think it is important that AFT members be well informed about the process of development, distribution and vaccination.”
