transition report cover 012618
The transition committees released their reports today, including the Education, Access, and Opportunity Transition Advisory Committee, co-chaired by AFTNJ President Donna M. Chiera.

“It was an honor to represent the voices of the dedicated professionals of AFTNJ in a new administration where these voices can be heard,” said Chiera. “I am pleased to see this administration has made it a priority to review the state’s charter schools system before moving forward with any expansion. However, I am also disappointed that the report did not address the concern we expressed about needing more accountability and transparency for New Jersey institutions of higher education. Through our Higher Education Division and our partnership with the Higher Education Leadership Council (HELC), we will continue to make our case with the new administration and legislators.”
