Just like he did in February when he delivered his fiscal year 2025 budget address, Gov. Phil Murphy on June 28 emphasized New Jersey’s fully funded public education system, prior to signing the $56.7 billion FY25 budget that same day.
“This budget will provide the single largest investment into our state’s public education system in our history so it can remain the envy of the nation,” Murphy said in his FY25 budget remarks from Trenton, flanked by Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin and Senate President Nick Scutari.
He added, “This budget will provide a robust foundation for us to continue building a New Jersey that is stronger and fairer than ever before — a state where every family has a fair shot at a brighter future, and every child receives the support they need to achieve their dreams.”
