The New Jersey Department of Education’s Amistad Commission is seeking 25 K-12 educators to serve on its Teacher Leader Planning Committee.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution, hold standard New Jersey state teacher certification and demonstrate competence in each core academic subject the teacher instructs.
Each committee member will receive a $1,000 award for a year of service from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. The application deadline is Sept. 19; full details can be found here.
