About 75 percent of survey respondents said they felt stifled by a shortage of “alternative placements or programs” for students who are disruptive, according to data released this month by the School Pulse Panel.

Responses to the survey, which focused on school safety and security personnel, came from more than 1,000 K-12 public schools nationwide in November.
