Singer-songwriter Amos Lee, who years ago was a public school teacher in Philadelphia, is offering a “Tickets for Teachers” giveaway at each stop of his U.S. tour, which begins April 8.

Lee is asking students, parents, colleagues and community members to nominate teachers in their area who made a positive impact on them during the pandemic. He will give free tickets for each of his shows to teachers, as well as assist them with classroom supplies.

“As a former teacher myself,” Lee said, “I know how much teachers sacrifice, and the last two years certainly have made things even more trying. So, I am giving away free tickets to teachers and helping classrooms buy the supplies they need.”

Lee, whose best-known songs include “Windows Are Rolled Down” and “Worry No More,” is touring in support of his 2022 album, “Dreamland.” He’s scheduled to perform April 14 at the Beacon Theatre in New York and April 15 at The Met Philadelphia in Philadelphia.
