Almost 70 percent of U.S. parents are either somewhat or very concerned that their children will fall behind academically due to the pandemic — and nearly the same share those levels of concern regarding social setbacks, according to a recent poll.

The University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research surveyed 1,076 adults from Feb. 25 to March 1; Associated Press writers Collin Binkley and Hannah Fingerhut have more on the results.
