Even though he hasn’t transported students to and from public schools within Newark since March, veteran bus driver Dianand Changur has kept busy since then with other bus-driving tasks, earning the same salary but not working as many hours as before the pandemic.

Other school bus drivers in New Jersey, as well as cafeteria workers across the state, have experienced big shakeups to their professional routines. NJ Advance Media’s Caroline Fassett talks to Changur and four others.
