New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy on May 11 signed two education-related bills into law:

S2486/A4264 establishes the Clayton Model Pilot Program in DOE to provide school-based emotional learning to students in grades K-5 at certain public schools.

S2832/A5295 permits a candidate for a substitute teacher credential who is enrolled in a regionally accredited institution of higher education and has completed at least 30 credits to serve as a substitute teacher.

Patch’s Tom Davis has more.
