Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, whose mother is a retired public-school teacher, admits he was never a model student. But the musician holds educators in high regard, and he’s concerned that returning to classrooms this fall “could mean life or death for some.”
“America’s teachers are caught in a trap, set by indecisive and conflicting sectors of failed leadership that have never been in their position and can’t possibly relate to the unique challenges they face,” Grohl writes in an article for The Atlantic titled “In Defense of Our Teachers.”
