Leading up to the new academic year, Newark’s public school teachers will have to be tested for COVID-19, and student testing “is under consideration,” according to the district’s plans for reopening.

“We are going to be strongly urging the testing be done,” said Newark Teachers Union President John Abeigon in a Kelly Heyboer story for NJ Advance Media. “We’re firm believers in science.”
