Technical issues, achievement gaps and in-person interactions are among the issues on the minds of educators around the globe on this World Teachers’ Day.

“I need my students to feel like they still have a real teacher, and a real class, with real classmates, despite sitting in front of a screen,” said North Carolina high school teacher Gerianne Bartlett in a story by CNN’s Lauren Kent. “My students are extraordinary individuals, and they deserve the best standard of education I can provide.”
