AFT Academics on June 11 will present the first of five online workshops in its summer training series on higher-ed organizing.

“These biweekly virtual workshops — with supplemental resources and opportunities for one-on-one discussions with an organizer — will cover a variety of nuts-and-bolts organizing topics and give you and your colleagues the tools you need to hit the ground running in the new academic year,” AFTA writes on its website.

Each session is two hours; the schedule is as follows:

June 11 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. — What Is the Union Difference?

June 25 at 3 p.m.: — Organizing Conversations: From Apathy to Action

July 9 at 3 p.m. — Organizing Conversations: Challenges & Follow-Ups

July 23 at 3 p.m. — Making Powerful Organizing Plans

Aug. 6 at 3 p.m. — Developing Winning Issue Campaigns
