United Adjunct Faculty of New Jersey (Local 2222) recently presented an award to AFTNJ executive officer Sue Tardi, a professor at William Paterson University, for her efforts on behalf of adjunct faculty in New Jersey.

“Ever since Sue Tardi became Executive VP for Higher Education at AFTNJ, she has worked hard for the adjunct faculty in New Jersey,” says William Lipkin, secretary-treasurer for Local 2222. “She succeeded in getting a concurrent resolution passed in the state legislature depicting the Adjunct Faculty Bill of Rights and has worked equally hard on unemployment and pension reform for adjunct faculty. UAFNJ wants to show our appreciation for the support Sue has given us over the years.”
