This falls under the rubric … if there were any question of how much of a shadow George Norcross — South Jersey uber-Democrat, newspaper owner and hospital chairman — is casting over the shotgun wedding of Rutgers, Rowan University and a handful of medical institutions, check this out:
There was Ali Houshmand, Rowan’s interim president, testifying on the measure before the Senate Higher Education Committee on Thursday.

To save time, state Sen. Sandra Cunningham (D-Hudson) asked Houshmand to forgo reading his full statement after the CEO of Cooper Health System, John Sheridan, wrapped up his testimony.

“If you don’t want me to read, then let me just say that I concur with everything that Mr. Norcro — Mr. Sheridan — said,” Houshmand said.

Houshmand corrected himself quickly, but not quickly enough to stifle snickers from the audience, largely opposed to the overhaul.
