Rep. Donald Norcross | On Friday night, Congressman Donald Norcross will join the welcome dinner program. Rep Norcross is the only electrician in Congress and worked for years installing and restoring power for New Jersey homes, businesses and industrial sites. He rose through the ranks and eventually became a business agent for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 351, as well as President of the Southern New Jersey AFL-CIO, where he advocated on behalf of thousands of hardworking men and women for nearly 20 years. Andrew Kim | Third Congressional District candidate Andy Kim will be joining Norcross in welcoming AFTNJ on Friday. Kim is planning to challenge incumbent Republican Representative Tom MacArthur in November. “I never thought that I would run for Congress, but I never thought that my representative would lead the charge in taking away health care from millions of Americans,” said Kim. “2018 is going to be about all of us standing up and working together for what we believe in.” More>> |
Rep. Frank Pallone | Rep. Frank Pallone will join the Saturday lunch program. The Sixth Congressional District, which Pallone represents, is an ethnically diverse area with a wide range of business and industry. The district is home to Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and Monmouth University. Pallone is the Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over issues pertaining to energy, environment, health care, commerce, and telecommunications. More>> |
