AFT President Randi Weingarten and AFTNJ staff representatives Richard Gomes and Jennie Shanker will be among the speakers at Hunter College’s annual national collective bargaining conference, taking place March 23-25 in New York.
Weingarten will be part of the keynote presentation “Unity in Defense of Higher Education and Collective Bargaining” on March 23 at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute of Hunter College. That same day at the same venue, Gomes and Shanker are scheduled to participate in a discussion of the new book “Organizing Professionals: Academic Employees Negotiating a New Academy” by Gary Rhoades.
