Invitation for Coverage: Perth Amboy ‘Walk-In’ Calls for Major Investments in Public Eduction in Black and Brown Communities

WHAT: The Perth Amboy Federation is joining the national Alliance To Reclaim Our Schools in events in more than 200 cities across the county calling for stakeholder-led, research-based school reform including:
• An end to the expansion of unaccountable charter schools that drain billions from traditional public districts;
• An end to high stakes assessments;
• And strong parent and community engagement in schools ending practices and policies such as state takeovers that disenfranchise local voters and eliminate local control in schools.
