New Jersey’s prekindergarten through 12 educators and support staff no longer have to wait until March 15 for COVID-19 vaccine eligibility.

“Answering the call from the Biden Administration, educators, including support staff, in pre-K through 12th grade, and childcare workers in licensed and registered settings, are now eligible ahead of March 15,” said Dawn Thomas, a Department of Health spokeswoman, said in an email.

During his March 1 media briefing, Gov. Phil Murphy had designated March 15 as the eligibility date.
