Poll: Most Americans would back teachers striking over unsafe schools

According to a recent HuffPost/YouGov poll, 56 percent of respondents would support a teachers union strike in protest of unsafe school conditions.

Additionally, 58 percent rated public school teachers in their community as good or better, and 41 percent said that teachers should not be required to teach in-person classes right now.

The poll, conducted Feb. 3-7, involved 1,000 U.S. citizens age 18 and older. To view the poll’s full results, click here.
