Cardona, Walsh nominations advance to full U.S. Senate

Dr. Miguel A. Cardona is one step closer to becoming education secretary, following a 17-5 vote Feb. 11 by the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee to advance his nomination. NBC Connecticut has more.

The committee also voted 18-4 to advance Martin J. Walsh’s labor secretary nomination. Roll Call has more.

Great news on the #COVID19 vaccine front- NJ @cvspharmacy & @riteaid locations are receiving thousands of doses this week in addition to what NJ receives. The state's own allocation will also be increasing in the coming weeks. More doses are key to increasing our vaccination rate

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said Feb. 10 that the state’s digital divide stands at 195 students as of Feb. 3. That’s a 52.8 percent decrease from Jan. 27.
