• The Impact of Culture on Student Achievement In addition to learning a new language, ELLs have to adjust to a new environment and culture while learning new academic skills and content knowledge.

Early Childhood Educators’ Tracks

The tracks listed below are designed to be developmentally appropriate for students in our PK through 2nd grade settings. The workshops will include opportunities for participants to share “staying true” to age appropriate educational, social and emotional expectations in a school system setting. Discussions will also focus on identifying and addressing language, emotional, sensory, and perceptual and other learning challenges. All workshop facilitators will be early childhood educators.
