Study looks at higher education’s disengaged learners

In a recent survey of 3,000-plus people ages 20-34 who’ve discontinued their pursuit of a college degree, 32 percent named personal or family issues as the reason.

Conducted by the University Professional and Continuing Education Association and StraighterLine, the survey also showed that 48 percent of students who recently stopped attending college were extremely or very satisfied with their institution of higher learning.
