Dr. Birx visits Rowan, reinforces need for more precautions, self-sacrifices

Coronavirus Response Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx visited Rowan University on Oct. 6, and during her nearly three-hour visit, she praised the mask-related and social-distancing signage on campus and urged all “to make further self-sacrifices for the protection of their families, their neighbors and their communities.”

“But I know we can do it because I’m inspired at times by [what] students have done,” she said. “We’ve asked them to change and alter completely their college experience. So as Americans, we should be able to alter our social experiences through the fall to protect one another.”
