NEW BRUNSWICK– Undergraduate students at Rutgers University’s New Brunswick campus will see a 1.85 percent increase in tuition and fees this fall, or an extra $266 on their annual bill.
David Hughes, Rutgers’ union vice president, urged the board to prioritize students and said the school should not compare its tuition to other universities.
“I urge you to make college affordable for this generation,” he said. “There are a lot of other institutions raising tuition… but those institutions may not have our resources.”
