Press: Review of Rutgers’ Finances Shows Plenty of Money; Shortage of Transparency

How much does Rutgers central administration really have at its disposal in unrestricted reserves? Does the school’s budgeting system funnel money from departments away from students and academics? How much does bloated executive pay cost Rutgers University? In past reviews, Dr. Bunsis found that Rutgers Athletics were not close to self-supporting, as funds from student fees and the core academic fund were utilized and the university is lacking in transparency—basic information on budgets and enrollment were not publicly available. He has analyzed the latest reported data and will release his findings.
