My union story: Our union tries to provide equality, transparency and honesty as part of the whole experience. That is one of the reasons I got involved as a member/leader.
Career highlights/achievements: I measure my success in that of my students. Each life I have touched in a positive way, leading to student success (as measured by themselves), is my greatest achievement.
Interests/hobbies: I have been blessed as a mom, sister, wife and friend, in a very large family. Getting to spend quality time with loved ones is important to me. I also love the game of baseball. (Go Yankees!) I enjoy getting unconditional love from our dog, Roo. My happy place is the beach, and when on vacation, I love to sleep in.
Looking ahead: My professional goal continues to be having a positive impact on students and colleagues. Our profession is so important on so many levels for our world. I would like to keep things student-focused, incorporating the best tools and ideas available. Education itself has a neverending ripple effect into the foreseeable future.
